Today is the last day of the year 2009AD, hope that those who are awake now can reflect on their performance for this year. What are the correct and incorrect stuffs that has been done. Also how to make 2010AD a better and more meaningful year than the previous. :D Today had a briefing on the sec 1 orientation, I was issued the post of I/C for class 1B if there are no further changes. This years plan seems like the councillor have lesser time to have leisure chat with the Sec 1s which i really wanted though. Together with me are, Vernetta, Reniga, Sam, Shewii, Huda and Sean. Then heard that Mr Tham have an idea of a sports class. Dun even know what is that?? So after a dam long briefing, went to parade square to help out with the marking of classes. Initially used strings to for m straight lines but didn't work out well. So Ms Yeong had a better idea instead, using real people to mark out the classes. Which work out quite well, shall see the results on Monday when school reopens. Then 4/5 which is the class i am taking next year is like on the other side of the parade square, well actually at the volleyball court, which i wonder if it is even able to see the flag. So Ms Yeong in return treated the bulk of us who stayed back to help to Mac. Now counting down to 2010.

So today, i cannot bear the urge to comment on this situation that i have experience recently. It may offend those who know about this too but sorry, the urge proves overwhelming. So I am aware that some people are more sensitive to the issues of talking behind one's back. Condemning with anger isn't the right thing to do, in turn you offend others which is which is not very ideal in forming a peaceful and harmonious society. let's imagine a Student Affairs Coordinator doing a survey with the students. Then someone criticised the organization with vulgarities or whatever repeatedly. Then is that Coordinator going to get all raged up and start acting in an angry manner, shouting at the person. This is an unwise thing to execute, as it only deteriorate the current situation. It would be better to be flexible and use a different method of approach towards that situation. Of course the Student criticising must not cross the line. But logic says that a cheerful and harmonious way of dealing with it is better.

Today went to school, reached at around 0830, around and chatted with Ahoyset. Then at 9 went to panel room for discipline workshop. Well i really think it was an almost waste of time to be frank. Cus other than a few points that are new and that i do not know, the others are exactly the same. Then had a break followed by briefing of morning duties. Ai seh the discipline check by councillor got a minor change in system. Then first day the discipline check like some kind of airport security check. After flag-raising still got another check. Following that was the proposal workshop. Teaching of the sequence and methods of writing an/a event/camp proposal my coords :D. at 1320 home sweet home :D. Came back, downloaded some stuffs, mopped the floor and cooked dinner. Today's dinner was simple and splendid :D Hm... third time cooking dinner =) Thursday got another meeting on Sec 1 orientation, although i dread to go the meeting cus its on the New Year's eve. But i will still appear and i am dam looking forward to the Sec 1 orientation. Hope that there are juniors of mine in the class i am taking. =)

So today was suppose to have a meeting in school by Ms Yeong. Then at 9 i received a sms saying that the school is close, meeting postponed. I was like WTF, i was already in school Uniform about to leave the house, luckily somehow my insticnts told me to check my messages. Which i thankfully did. Did the person who organize the meeting ever spare a tot for people who might be on their way to school already. What would be their feelings at the point of time when they learn about it on the bus/MRT. And like i mention in my previous post, I REALLY REALLY HATED LAST MINUTE NOTICES. Monday got another meeting/workshops/briefing. What a waste of time the Discipline workshop, can't they focus on something that needs to be settle fast. The sec 1s, i doubt some of them even interacted with everyone in their batch. They dun have even a name.

Might be getting a thinkpad laptop soon. Has a 60% survival rate if water ever spills onto the laptop. =D Contains a DDR3 cum 3 year warranty, free upgrade to Windows 7 which is common now though. Longer battery duration. Shock-prove hardisk. Can't wait to get a new phone too since the old one spoiled due to contact of water.

Insomia the night before but was alright managed to get up on time and took 154 to school. When i reached the 154 bustop outside school, Agnes and the others were acting like a welcome party. =D Waited there for the others until 7 when everyone that should be there had arrive. Got the badges and ties to put on and proceed to our respective position and wait. Soon people started flooding in like wave after wave of legions. The hall suddenly had a lack of manpower. Thanks Syazana and Amanda for helping the hall urshers =D. Soon we started running out of chairs so many of us rushed to grab more from the store. Untill we used up every chair in that store. So Principal's talk etc. and the registration started. So i from a hall ursher became a school ursher. Directing parents to their respective venue and running back to the hall. At 11 started to clear up, carried the benches back and debriefed. Walau the bulk of the batch was slacking in canteen after they finished there., if you say your tired then you want to compare with my job. I ran around the whole school, i was like an OIC, dun even have time to drink water until Weikang passed me one. Thanks Weikang =D I almost fainted, was already light headed. My shirt soaked in sweat. I still solo with Sean move the beaches back to canteen. Got a little pissed when i was moving the bench and people was teasing me instead of helping. The bench not light leh.
Well everything was great except for some minor issues that could be improved on. =D 3 Cheers for OICs :D Hip Hip Hooray. Then we received a good news that everyone get to keep their ties and badges :D. Walau sian Saturday got meeting then Monday got workshops and need to hand in reflections etc. Went to MacDonald's' to eat and went home.
Can everyone stop mentioning about the incident that happened this morning!

Woke up in the morning then did routine things before going out to collect my uniform. Went to school after that. Had briefing in the alumni room then followed by briefing by the OICs. Then helped out arranging the layout of the canteen. Had a dry-run, followed by debrief and lunch time ;) Went to KFC with Ahoyset. At 3.45 took a 154 and went home. To someone, try to smile more, I have had juniors asking me whether you are very serious and stern. I replied no and ask them why? They said that its from your facial expression. So try to smile more =) its good to smile makes you look more friendly and maintains the balance in the body =) Do be cautious about your body language and the way you react to people. "He who wins over the people gains the world"

I think that Singapore is not a really that perfect place to live in. Although it is not affected by natural diseaster and has a high level of peace and stability with one of the best police force. A good education system, lots of malls etc. But it is very very realistic without money there is not much you can do. Unless you get help from others, you just have to slog and work for survical or die. To get a pension from the government, have to apply this and that, the worse part is when you really need the help, the application is rejected. So what can one do just work for survival until you leave this world. Hope there would be changes in the future.

Today woke up at 11 the latest time i have woke up since the start of the holidays. I am not a guy who likes to get up dam late those kind. Went to school at 1230h, was late cus injured my toes couldn't chase after the bus. Was 5 mins late, then discuss about some problems about the batch. Then I, Fatt rui and Beng koon keep doing alot stupid things at the back. Then there was one part dam funny, cus the 26th owe Wei jun $70 for the Sec 1 orientation camp, then Fatt rui call Agnes Lau and said ..... Your batch still have fund anot?
Agnes replied "We split the fund among our selves already."
Fatt rui replied" Then ask everyone give back the fund to pay Wei jun......... "
LOL. After the briefing ended, Peiling, Amanda and Syazana came up to brief about Sec 1 Registration,the objectives, job scoops and jobs on that day. So dismiss and went home.

I think that when we are having meetings can we dun like ask when everyone is free. I like Sean's idea, well i do like most of his ideas. We fixed a certain date then see who is not free on that day. And i seriously seriously dun like to see the word "last minute notice" on sms that comes after 10. Unless there is really really no choice. For instance, someone didn't received the msg and went to sleep before 10. He only realised that there is meeting the following morning and by that time he doesn't feel like going so this makes full attandance for the meeting impossible. So decision to-be-made or instructions needed to be given out might have delays.

Woke up today @ 9 to help out my mom with breakfast. Then at 11 watch the A计划 on Channel 8. The drama comprises two of my favourite elements in drama. It setting is during the beginning of the 20th century about the Royal Hong kong police. There is also romance included in it :) Then at 1330 went for lunch at the Botanic Gardens. Has nasi lemak which was quite okay. Then went to Peiling's house to help out with Sec 1 registration stuffs. Later went looking around the world using Google Map. Went home around 6. Had Dinner and went to Orchard road with my family to look at lightings there. :D

I have been thinking, does the Singapore government give pensions to the elderly or single parent? As in not everyone would get, those who are okay and able to support themselves do not need the pension. CPF isn't a kind of pension, it is more of the government helping us to save money for old age. During the 19th century in Germany, a pension is give to anyone 70 and above and earns less than 21 euros per year. Maybe this can been done for senior citizens earning less than $6000 per year. As for single-parent(with one child) earning less than $10 500 per year. SIngle -parent (with 2 children) earning less than $ 12 000 per year. Hope maybe something like this could be started and that CCs have just too mnay people to help already they do not have enough resources.

Today My toes (Big toe) hit the stairs when going down the stairs to fetch my relatives then it bled. Now like one crippled person can't walk properly. haiz. The skin and some flesh apparently came off during impact. There is a constant stinging feeling at the wound there now, just have to wait for it to heal haiz. :(

Today the Johor state government announced that with effect from tomorrow 13/12/09, all Singapore cars leaving Johor, the amount of fuel remaining in the fuel tank must not exceed 20 litres. What if the car ran out of petrol while waiting to cross the customs. And innocent Singaporeans have to waste their Singapore-filled Petrol for no reason. What kind of decision is this, was the decision given full thoughts and consideration to the best for the Malaysians in Johor or was it just on a particular issue? Singaporeans are like one of the forms that maintain or improve the Malaysian economy, might not be so too. But businesses like car wash depends on Singaporeans on quite a big scale. When interviewed, the boss of a car wash in Johor said that 70% of his earnings depends on Singapore cars. Also when a Singaporean was interviewed, he said that he will cut down his trips to Johor from 2-3 per month to 2-3 per year. This would mean a great loss of profits for people like the car wash boss. Is there some kind of politics involved in the decision and that I think this is not really a good move to conserve the country resource unless it is confidence that it's economy can improve without much of external help. I hope that there would be some amendments to the policy.

Hm... today first time preparing dinner for my family hahas :D Cooked Pasta hahas turn out not too well :D Lols So apparently the sauce was more of like Cambell soup mix with quite alot of water. The noodle was cooked just fine :D the hotdogs and nuggets were great :D Not too bad i guess first time cooking for a family so didn't know need how much sauce :D Overall waas okay lah hahas :D
Hm... Grandma coming tomorrow with my cousin :D hahas lol seems like it has been 6 years since they came to Singapore, it was always we the ones visiting them in Malacca. Finally they can come to Singapore :D

Recently 2 news reports on the SPF about bribery. In the first report, first case officers in two separate cases arrested two immigrants who overstayed their Visa. The Indian National attempted to bribe the offcier by giving them a phone he bought for S$240 but the officers rejected it. In the Second case, officers from Geylang NPC arrested a Chinese National who overstayed, she attempted to bribe the offciers by giving them S$204 but the men in blue rejected it. These men were commended recently :D.
However in the second report, a former DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police) was charged with briber. He accepted a bribe of S$1000 from a driver who was the cause of a traffic accident and got someone else to take the rap for the driver. Walau such cop exist within the force. Really a total disgrace to the force. Willing to break the law just because of a thousand dollars haiz this kind of people also have. Hope that History does not have to repeat itself again. :(

Woo hoo batch chalet was fun. Met up with Fatt rui, beng koon, Ding feng, Wei jun and Caroline at Boon lay interchange to take 198 to Hong kang point to buy items and food needed for the chalet. At the stall the auntie must have seen that we bought alot of things so she gave each of us a candy cane. Good marketing strategy :D Next went with Fatt rui and Wei jun to buy the BBQ stuffs and a ball. Had breakfast and took 98 to Lakeside and waited for Weishi's mom. Talked with Wei jun until 10 when Weishi's mom arrived. So all the guys there took the first cab to Sentosa. When we arrive, suppose to pay $10 for admission but the taxi uncle's cash card did not have enough money so that guy just gave us a receipt and let us through never even tell us where to pay. So Woo Hoo no need pay admission fee :D Waited, had lunch and finally check-in :D.

Went to the beach to play which something horrible happened. Wei kang and Sean grab me and threw me into the water. You think that was the bad part, NO.... the horrible thing was my phone was in my pocket went they threw me in and it was killed. Build structures using sands, like hills and steps. When Wei kang step on it, it gave way. This proves that he is too fat :D Swim around. Then went back, showered and started the fire for the BBQ. Ding feng tried a new way of cooking. He put an aluminium tray above the BBQ pit and pour oil into it. Which became shallow frying :D Successful at first but overall failed.

Agnes said that there was too little variety of food and not enough food so went with Caroline and Syafiqah to Vivo to purchase more. While Fatt rui went to get the cake. The X-factors came not long after. The girls returned from the grocery shopping at 1800 and Fatt rui returned with the cake at round 2000h. Sang B'day song for Weishi and this ang moh came along saying "Whose B''day is it, i got to do it, i got to do it" LOL When he took pic with her his hands was like touching her butt :D hahas :D. The cake was a chocolate ship on top a rectangular base. Thanks Fatt rui!! :D Had a nightwalk together, walked around Sentosa and took pictures wherever possible :D Had a great time. Was funny when everyone was singing the Ding fengcheer :D. Something funny happen on the way back to the chalet but should not mention :D Back at the Chalet, everyone played Blackjack but i stayed out, Must have a healthy life style right :D Then dunno half-way who suggest to stay awake for the whole night outside. So everyone went out leaving me in the room. Slept and the air-con was friggin cold even with blankets on :(

At 0700h in the morning receive a SOS call from Wei jun to open the back gate for them :D. The others then when to sleep while i left the room to go the pool area and rested there. 0930 woke the others up and after breakfast played Blackjack again. Was suppose to clean up and checked out at 10 but ended up checking out at 1230h. Slept in the wardrobe while they Blackjack. Ding feng ended up losing $50 to Fatt rui what wrong with that guy. Then took the monorail to Vivo, had lunch and then went hone ;D. A dam fun chalet :D hehe Forever Ahoyset :D
PS: the pail used to put the drinks for BBQ was from the toilet and Wei jun sat on the pail and farted i think :P Hope no one had problems after drinking the drinks :P

Haiz fell ill today, had stomachache and fever :(. I am wondering if it is a somehow curse that i always get sick at the end of the year :(. Same for last year and the previous year. The stomachache directed me to the toilet 4 times :( wonder if it is food poisoning, hmm.....? I think i am a little weird, after watching 5 6/8 episodes of koizora i did not felt like crying, just sad :(. Wonders if it is abnormal?

LOL today a couple gatecrashed into the whitehouse during a state dinner!!! They were greeted by US President Barack Obama and India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The President was furious, although the report did not say that but i guess he would have been. He ordered a full-review on the situation. The secret service was extremely "embarrassed" as the couple breech several layers of security. OMG how can this kind of security breech happen in the Whitehouse. This seriously endangers the life of the US President. The occurrence of this event should be condemmed by worldwide security forces. The secret service should really revised the situation and uncover the loops in security. A real disappointment and embarrassment, haiz.

Today went out to watch Christmas Carol @ causeway point. Walau forgot today is public holiday no student price lol :( So spend $10 watching a movie that was horribly scary but with a little meaning about Christmas. The scary part walau almost made me jumped out of my seat. There was a spirit in the movie which suddenly shouted "BOO!" i was scared out of my life. Then got some spirits that brought the main character to the past and future. then keep doing scary things. Walau what kind of animated movie, more like horror one :(.
So went around shopping, then Vijay keeps talking about a banana pen we saw @ minitoons :D keep talking like in a perverted way :D hahas lol :)

Today heard that Dubai's city government is requesting to pay its debt 6 months later to the world bank and some major European banks. This could trigger another economy crisis devastating the recovering economy. Today all around the globe, stock markets fell more than 2%.The losses vary from region to region. This is kind of irresponsible as just one city's problem could lead to world wide crisis. The Chinese have a saying “借钱还钱，天津第一. When one borrow money they should return it. They should ensure that they have sufficient money or at least partial of the sum to return.

Today release of the PSLE results, D-day for all the primary sixes in Singapore. All the hardwork was for today. This the suprising thing was that most of the top-scorers did not came from all the famous schools, instead from neighbourhood schools. The top-scorer was from Qi Fa Primar, attaining a score of 290. Remembering the first time i step into the school for outreach talks, Feeling that it was as if any other schools i had been to. Unexpected things always suprise people :D So can conclude that the school doesn't determine the quality of the students.

Having a headache now, watch too much love dramas in the afternoon, the pain is like killing me :(. Tomorrow going out with Hanyun, Vijay and Chen zhen to causeway point. :D watching the movie "Christmas Carol" lol i don't even know the plot of the story so lau kui lol :D Well That's all Happy holidays :) (I havn't touch my mother tongue homework, hehe (: )

Today went out to watch 2012, alot of money must have been invested to make such a great movie :D. Many touching sences shown. Effects were great :D Yeah on the whole great movie should really catch it if anyone hasn't :)

Well had been thinking of a game for my game station during the batch chalet. Got my inspiration from a military secenario :D However, seems that the game would need at least 30 mins of preparation. Had another idea for my game station if the first one fail. The second one was derieve from my experience in ATC :D That one would need more logistics than the first one. Well on the whole both the games have the same common objectives. 1) To allow the juniors to know their seniors better 2) To promote teamwork between the junior and senior councillors 3) To have FUN :D

Haiz so bored now sian :(. Nothing to do or maybe i just ran out of ideas of what to do. Well then lets not think about these boring stuffs instead. Tomorrow finally able to watch 2012 :D yipee. Then Wednesday have meeting with ahoyset for logistics-related stuffs. Friday might be going out with The Wei jun, Vijay, Han yun and Chen zhen for movie :) not sure yet. Was watching a 2-hour documentary show about Mahathir (4th Prime Minister of M'sia if you do not know). From the documentary i depicts that Mahathir is a outspoken leader. In parliment he is not afraid to interupt our Minister Mentor and ask him Qs. He wrote a letter demanding the resignation of the 1st M'sia PM. He dares to critise world leaders but not without a reason. During the Asian Financial Crisis, He believed that his administration could pull through and they did. :)


However when i was reading his blog, i came across this same issue that has been rroubling our state government for decades - Water agreement with Malaysia. The price of water is bound to increase after 2011. As the first water agreement sells water to Singapore @ 3 sen per 350 Million gallons. However the 2nd water agreement sell Singapore water @ 3 sen per 1000 gallon. see the differenece. Singapore needs 350 million gallons daily to survive our NEWater plant cant supply us enough unless we have better technology in future we need the water from Johor. Let say without the water and Singapore were to "collapse" what does M'sia gain from that? Well Johor might become the port-of-call boasting Malaysia enconomy. However, if Singapore ever "collapse" that would mean some of Malaysia business would lose huge amount of profit, Dr Mahathir also mention in his post that Malaysian products were not selling well in Malaysia whats-more export it. Malaysia and Singapore are often dependent on each other. without either one, the other would have to work very hard to find a solution to ensure that their country mantain and survive.

According to NEWS report, the next batch of sec 1s need to report to their respective secondary schools on the 23rd of December. Another event for council. Hope the new sec 1s would like the school although its not any famous school. The council would work hard to make it a better place :D

Today met the other npcc-ians at Boon lay MRT at 7. Together we travelled to Sengkang Community center. What a long journey seh, took more than an hour.

So Finally reach, after the registration thing, we had to like sit down in rows of 10. Then i kena odd 1 out, cus there were 11 of us haiz. so separated already.

Then had talks about the history of SANA, its role in combating drug abuse with the Central Nacrobotics Bureau (CNB). The various drugs, short/long term damage to the body, the consequences of consuming and trafficking it. Ways to indentify a drug-abuser etc. While the talk was okay not as boring as expected.

In the golden triangle, the mother would feed their child Pompey water, as there Pompey is way cheaper than milk power. Then had some kind of commercial break in between, where Fadillah, Jia tong, Jin ping, Peiling and Ric performed a short skit about drug-abuse.

After lunch, we had the test which was a piece of cake to pass. But there was a question asking what is inhaling the fumes of heroin also known as, i was like LOL anyhow choose one answer. It was followed by role-playing by the different schools. I remember one quite funny, in the skit, the drug dealer give the teenager a bag of Heroin. Then when the CNB officers came to arrest them, he told the officers that the heroin was Baby powder. Might not be funny here but the expression from the guy then was very funny :D:D.

Abusing drugs is not a thrill thing to do, other than leading to a life of crime, it also damages your body normal functions and would cause death. If arrested by the CNB officers, one might be sent to the Drug Rehabilitation centre (DRCs). There one would undergo the "cold turkey" treatment. it is to reduce the dependence of one on the drugs. But one would have to suffer the various withdrawal symtomps. Then there would be various programmes like foot drills, counseling and working in workshops to instill discipline, help the abusers through the treatment and increase their productivity to prepare them for employment in the working society.

So we must never start in the first place, never let others have a chance to tell you "早知今日，何必当初“ because of drug-abusing.

1st Penguin Division, Salute!!!

Reached school at 0730 today, everyone was preparing for the event. After DC and briefing, everyone got into position and waited and waited.. I think the Welcome party work under not so good condition as us. they had the sun facing them. I and Min hut was at the reception and trying to cool the laptops, apparently the sun were scotching on them. For a moment i tot the laptop would just explode :D cus it was so hot.

At round 9, more people started to enter the school, a small crowd gathered around the reception to register :) The same thing went on. Went for lunch @ 3-3 at 1115. The food was ok except the rice was a little dry.At 1132 Corene started calling for everyone to go back to their position. Thanks to the Principle's talk, the plan was switch and most of the time, the welcome party and receptionist have to become ushers too. LOL

It was ok :D at least i get to hold on to a walkie talkite :D.ushered people all the way to kopi-stop. lucky i was trained for that. When boredom aroused, i and Mark keep kaopei Waichi and Shirmaine :D at around this time, Vernetta had to go home due to her not feeling well. Corene wanted me to kaopei Yong yang cus i sit before Mdm Priya's car LOL.

Saw alot of familiar faces at the open house :D And was surprise to see my friend's cousin :D hahas was so surprised :D And finally at around 1530 i went to help the other s to carry the tables upstairs and move teh tables back to class 1B and 1C. I could finally rest :D:D After a little refreshments, i helped carry some stuffs to the room beside the DnT. And inside i saw stuff like rice, canned food, it was like a granary. What were those things doing in the room??

Everyone went to the canteen to take a break. then we on the way there keep Kaopei Caroline and Wei jun, so funny :D In the canteen, Fatt rui wanted to make Wei jun sit beside Caroline then he carried him up, Wei jun keep reisting. so funny :D And then everyone start to Kaopei me already walau :(.

So debrief by Mdm Priya, Ms Ng and Corene. And everyone's free to go :D.As i was walking out the gate, Saw Mdm Priya and she offered me a lift. Hesistated a little well did accept it.

Went home Sleep and sleep. End of one day :d

Well today's script checking was alright and the results was ok i guess. And there are of course unexpected results like i did not predict that i would ace maths and things like that bleh.
Well the most hated part of today was the art examinations results. I do not understand the purpose of the art examinations could someone enlighten me on this point. Is it to get people more involved and art and mking them like it?? Trying to find people with potential in art?? Today i went to Kallang river to do my CIP. Upon arrival we had a short lecture about 20mins and later went out to pick some litter. I went to pick as much as possible as i realise that not many people care about the environment, thus before we can educate more of the public it is up to people like us to ensure the cleanliness of the environment. The funny thing of the day is that Aravind found a condom in the drainage. hmm what was he doing looking into the drainage? Had some snacks that idk where it came from but who cares its free lol. Also i did nit know i could do 3 pull-ups after so long of not exercising, good physical standards :)

Today had a history trip to the Old ford Factory and Kranji War memorial. at the Old ford factory used to be a factory for assembling cars and military trucks till the end of the war. Inside it was accounts of people that experience the occupation. During the occupation, the "kempeitai" were the most feared the slightest mistake could get you arrested, tortured or killed. There were also food grown by the locals to met their demand for food.Took a class photo there and watch a movie about the Japanese occupation of Singapore. The Was memorial was a war grave and a state cemetery. President Yusof Bin Ishak & Benjamin Henry Sheares were buried there. the war grave however was under the care of the Commonwealth. There were the graves of 80 000 soldiers with the names of 24 000 soldiers crafted on the stone wall. Mostly from the Royal Air force, Royal navy, the Royal artillery and Police force. There saluted the two presidential graves and the war memorial with Samuel and Wei jun :)

Lesson was suppose to end @ 1445 but thanks to Chinese common test, i ended at 1455 and had to rushed down for the interview thing.lol. Hope it went well that's all bb.

Had my promotion test (drill component) today, started off quite well but had some mistake, the most stupid one was ask squad to turn right i turn LEFT i felt like WTF!! die liao. But i know 2 times i exceuted correctly for 2 commands that many were unsure. On the whole i guess everyone did well and many funny thigs happen today can ask me personally . 3 cheers for sec 2!! :)

Holidays are coming to end, hmm.... not sure if its a good thing or a bad one, but i guess to the majority its a bad one right :). The more the homework the teachers give, the more i lose confidence on the EOY. I rather use my own way of studying which does not include doing whole bunch of unecessary homewor

1st Penguin Division, salute!!!

Today woke up at 0630, meet up with the other sec 2s NP @ Boon lay interchange. Then from there went to Bukit Batok & took 187 to Bukit Batok fire station.
There we started with the CPR module due to large number of attendance. So we had a demonstration by the instructors. So later i was asked to try CPR on the dummy, kinda hard to tilt the person head back and open his mouth to give the ventilation blows. And hor when giving the blows, mouth -to-mouth is not recommended ( like those senario we see on TV hehe :) ) a face sheild( more like just a piece of plastic with soem kind of fabric in the middle for you to blow air in). Found out today that it's not easy to do CPR sia, do one round in 2 mins siao lah!
Then went on to first, quite funny cus Leon was used to demostrate how to bandage the head, everyone took lots of photo of him in the bandage :D hahas.And next was Lunch, the lunch no bad, although it's pack food but not like those kind you eat in school that has meat with 3/4 raw vegetables. Those are terrible food more like for pigs instead of humans.
The following lessons were about fire safety, the different fire extinguishers and ways to extinguish fire. Emergency procedures in terms of natural diseaters, war and Terrorist attacks. At the end of the few hour lesson, had a 15 MCQ test, so DARM friggin easy lor. The whole sec 2 squad passed :) THREE CHEERS FOR SEC 2s :D.

Tmr is promotion test for theory and campcraft (so happy doesn't include lamps :D) now worrying about the sec 1s wonder if they can pass their promotion sia.

1st Penguin Division, salute!!!

Today after NDP celebration, spent 3 hours thinking and reflecting on what Ms Thum said. Well shall not go into detail At 1330 today outside NP room waiting to the bus to come to bring us to the HQ. I was so worried that anyone would forget to bring their student pass.

So at about 1430 we reached New Pheonix park. There had to go through security checks before entering. Once i enter i was so inspired by the building, I must work there in furture, its just so cool!!! The whole place is filled with granite. So first we started with the ranks used in different times in Singapore History. I was really inspired when i saw the rank for Superintendent :). So we carried on with a little history of the police force. Did you know that the traffic police was formed in 1918 and they used flaps to direct the traffic instead. The riot-control squad was superb cool!! They had many different equitments, to combat the rioters. Also you know those police in cowboy uniform, they are the Gurkha contigent, recruited from Nepal. The daggers they carried Don't! ever touch or play with them. As the nepalese have a belief that once the dagger is drawn, it has to see blood.... These people were used during the 1950s terbulent period. As at that time the police force consist of mostly Malays so during a riot they might side their own race. They were very loyal, and impartial, thus making them a good security force. :)

We also saw a video on how the police force had done their duties during the IMF meeting in SIngapore. The force was awared one of the best police force in the world in 1999 and 2003. The police force has continue to improve and find ways to safeguard Singapore. Recently the force just lauched one of the major exercise, codenamed Operation Northstar VI. More information can be found online. Our Commisioner of Police (CP) is also the president of interpol, an organisation which allows the police from all over the world to share imformation or put up wanted notice.

The whole visit is darm cool!! Has increased my passion of entering the force to play a part in safeguarding Singapore.

But i still don't understand one thing, if the Gurkhas have to draw their daggers to sharpen but the dagger has to see blood, then what excatly do they do??

Today had a very bad start, first lesson got Emaths test. It was like friggin hard, could not understand a whole bunch of questions, oh man sure to fail and worse Mrs Lee is going to start nagging again, but at least not as worse as Ms Lim (no offence).

Then before school end, I and Sean decided to lock Mr Chin in the class. So we joke a little but had to open cus there were some girls in the class. Didn't manage to lock him in or else could have made him use the techniques of persuading to get him to persuade us to open the door, hahhas :D.

I think that the playground downstairs with its fitness facilities is of a great help to me, I find that my physical standards have improve after going to it weekly ;D. I can do up to 4 chin-ups (But not every time ah, hahhas) :D

I was really inspired when i saw a quotation once said by American 32nd President, President Franklin D Roosevelt,

"It isn't sufficient to just want, you have got to ask yourself what you are going to do to get the things you want"

I hope it inspired some but i dont think so hahhas lol :)

While today post would be a short one, yeah tmr everyone is going back to school, however like always there people complaining of school reopening what is wrong with Singaporeans man. I heard that Malaysia only has 2 week and we still complain.
just bcus got 365 cases of H1N1 recently want one more week really lol. I just cannot understand haiz. After one more week if the situation worsens, we still have to go back to school, so in the end we still have to return right.

As for me I am so happy that school is reopening, holiday everyday not play then do homework, what a boring life, I rather go back to school to take up my keyholder post again and do something for the class. As a maths rep i enjoy doing the administration work for mrs Lee hahhas :D i just dunno why i love doing it so much.

Go back to school also got cons too, as i havnt do finish my homework yet so hahhas. :X Especially Chinese which is sure collect one arghharrrgh and everyone knows that if not turn in before a day which i dont know when will sure get detention one so i think my first priority for now is do finish Chinese.:( so sad.

While still I hope tomorrow everyone will still try and go back to school with a happy mood, As I always say Life is only several decades, we should live it to the fullest. I am so excited tomorrow can see all my friends again.

1st Penguin division, salute!!!!

First day

While that day i woke up early morning and reach outside NP room at 7. Had bagcheck, which was like very slack, HO Jeremy just asked us to open up and let him take a look can already. Next everyone sat there for an hour, as many of the sec 3s were not, i was like lol, we were told to fall in at 7 and sec 3s can come at a later time. at 8+ bah everyone board the bus, it was quite noisy at first as everyone was filled with energy and restless. But not long after, they just sat down and started to rest. The ride to Changi took around 30 mins or so. I got bored and decided to meditate, what is so funy about meditating, why must people come and disturb you. haiz but nevermind we are all friends. hahhas :D Took a 8 mins boatride to Pulau Ubin it was really very fun lor!!!! when we wanted to get down the boat was rocking roughly from side to side hahhas. Next we hike a 5km wake i think on the way we encourage each other and was a really fun wake, i wish it could have lasted longer.
So we reached the campsite wo hoo and started pitching. Was really frustrated with the twine it would snap if you pull very hard but if you dont it wil be quite lose. Next we went to help other school, i think it was Boon lay Sec. we got ready the inner sheet and was waiting for Chong wee to tie his tent-guy loop when this officer came and scold Zheng kang i was like LOL, cant he see that chong wee is tying, everyone was very @#%@#$ with him. Next was grouping and tentage groupings, following that was lunch. it was so troublesome if you wanted to wash something you had to run all the way up the stairs to the canteen and back again before you could cook your meal, what a bother.
After lunch was ice-breaking game and camp fam.Next was pioneering, my group made a kind of wardrobe with round lashing and square lashings. I did this as i remembered Adullah's deisgn last year and we were so close to winning but we lose. However who cares what matters most is the process am i right?1? :D Had dinner which was change to army rations, so COOL!!! hahhas :D all you need to do was just put the pack of food into hot water for a few mins and your ready to eat, actually they are called MRE or meal ready to eat. At night had a mock camp fire to get everyone familarise with the songs which JSS know most of them hahhas. Next we gathered at the grass and dunno do what already i forget lah just some stupid waste of time things. Before i went back to tentage, a CI ask whose bottle so i went to take it and he ask me do you think i can make the whole camp come back bcus of the bottle i heard wronly and said no. I tot he said" you think the whole camp will come back because of that bottle." hahhas so lol lor.
In the tentage, three westwood ppl wont sleep and went around to disturb others with their torchlights and acted as CIs really frustrating almost wanted to whack them upside down. so no choice bear with it till next day only slept fot 2 hours sia and alot of mosquitoes.

Second day

Woke up at 530 to wae the other Jurongians to brush teeth and quickly fall in for flag-raising and PT, which was leaded by HO Jeremy. The PT was like darm hard a test of your fitness strength. lucky only for an hour. Breakfast was a fast one as had to help the group to wash mass tins and prepare tent for tentage inspections. almost half of my tent was infested with ants sia!!! lucky it was where the westwood ppl would sleep tonight hahhas so not my problem. Following that everyone took their backpack that we had packed yesterday and fall in at canteen. My group first activity was team-building. one was a memory game and the second was where you had to get two balls of twine onto the other side of the poncho without it dropping and everyone must hold onto the poncho. Next we just sat around and chat with the JW NCOs and i volunteered to be AIC, IC was wei hao from Jurong west.
After lunch, we had rope challenge and rock climbing. first was rock climbing i couldnt reach the top got not enough strength hahhas lol. Next was the maze, we had to get out of an old dark building lucky i was not the first man hahhas. The first guy kept hitting into things hahhas :X We could have gone for kayaking but due to lighting in nearby areas, low-rope challenge and kayaking was cancelled. and many people of Jurong was casuaties. haiz. So IC and i decided to use the time to plan for camp fire activities. we came up with a skit which was not really perfect or should i say unprepared hahhas.
Marched back to camp from the beach for flag-lowering and briefing for later events. we had 2.5 hours to bathe eat and perpare for camp fire. lucky did all that in time. I also found out at that time i lost my torchligh so sad T-T .
The campfire turn out to be quite fun not like ordinary campfire which i would be very bored at it. Due to time constraint, my group did not have to perform and there was alot of funny performance too long to type out here.
After it ended, all gathered at the field as the CIs wanted to mae sure that all the masstins and stove were there, we also could not fall alsleep or just take a rest or will be in pumping position haiz.Whne thye ask for volunteer i quickly stand up as i needed to walk aroung to prevent myself from falling asleep. We were told to check the tent for any masstin but i found non which was gud. when i went back to sit down and almost close my eyes, a JWSS NCO tap me i got a shock and tot it was a CI lucky it was not. Before we were release, we were imform that CI Mei yu wanted to see us, it turn out that it was consueling as one of us had did something very bad in simple. stand at the BBQ pit for like an hour or more and we suffer 3 casaulties. went into pumping position a few times. haiz.at 1230 everything finally ended and i tirly drag myself back to my tent, and went into the wrong ten luckyly i found out in time and went back to mine, this is usaul happen alot of times, hahhas lol.

Third day

Samtentse routine in the morning again. But after breakfast no inspection we brought our things to the fireld and unpitched our next mastins inspections and i voluteer inhelping to move the tent equiment from one place to another. Next week took a batch photo and took a van back to the jetty to reach mainland singapore. On the bus i dint feel tired at all, sir desmond was very funny when giving back wallets he ask everyone the conten of the wllet and there was alot of joking around hahhas. After dismissed i and Abdullah helped Ric to the bus stop while waiting for his parents and sent him home safely. went to Macsonald's with Riduan and Peiling. before dragging myself to go home. On the bus almost miss my stop was very sleepy due to lack of rest. Bathed and slept through the evning b4 getting up for Dinner. then at night Chat and went to sleep at 12 hahhas:D.

I think that ATC is filled with fun and un-fun things if you partcipate in it. I also learn that The leader is not always the important person , sometimes it is the last man making sure no one is left behind. I also manage to get a chance to be an AIC which i felt very honour, although it is just a small post but important too.

Wow 2 more days to Adventure Training Camp, so excited!!!! Get to go to camp with other schools' people but i thinki forget how to tie tent guy loop already, go there sure die one. Later cannote set up tent in time then DIE wan!!!! ahhhh!!!!!!

But i think it is going to be a fun camp in the end and i am waiting to see if it is true. So anxious to know my grouping for ATC.
I still havnt gotten my long sleeve-T , haiz if never get in time then i am so dead, hahhas :D lol

I find that nowadays i am addictted to reading those kind of Chinese books that the words go downwards and read from the left to right. I write letter also write like this, this makes me feels so traditional (maybe old-fashion) but who cares i am just being my self right. hehhe ^_^

1st Penguins Division, Salute!!

Woo hoo Batch Chalet was fun :D Met Fatt rui, Beng koon, Ding feng, Wei jun and Caroline @ Boon Lay interchange to take 198 to Hong kah point to buy frozen food for the BBQ. The auntie at the stall gave us candy canes :D I think she see us buy alot of stuffs from her so give us for free :D Good Marketing strategy. Then went around with Fatt rui and Wei jun to look for the BBQ stuffs. Then took 98 to Lakeside and waited for Weishi's mom. Kept talking with Wei jun till Weishi's mom came at 10. Took a cab to Sentosa. When we arrive at the entrance of Sentosa, suppose to pay $10 for admission fee but the taxi uncle cashcard not enough money. So that guy just gave us a receipt and let us through. Then we were all like ai seh no need pay admission fee :D

So waited, had lunch, check in then went to the beach :D. Here's where the most horrible part came :( Sean and Wei kang grab me and drag me into the water. Was that the horrible part no.. its went they throw me into the water with my phone and the phone died :( then just hack care and went to build structures of hills and steps :D tried the stairs gave way when i step on it. Went swimming in the sea :D fun! Buried Weishi. then Fatt rui and Beng koon kept making her laugh :D. Went back, showered and started the fire for BBQ :D Soon the X-factors arrived. Ding feng was trying a new way of cooking, using aluminium trays and fill it with oil and put it over the BBQ pit to do shallow frying. Turn out quite well initially but overall failed.:P

Agnes, Caroline and Syafiqah went to Vivo to get more food while Fatt rui went to get the cake.The cake was amazing, on top of a rectangular base was a ship like those kind in the Victorian age made out of chocolate. Thanks Fatt rui!!! for making the cake :D Sang B'day song to Weishi and this ang moh came by and said"Whose B'day is it, i got to do it, i got to do it." He took pics with Weishi, the photo like as if the guy was touching her butt lol :D Had a nightwalk around Sentosa :D took pics almost everywhere possible :D. Went back to the room and everyone started playing Blackjack. I stayed out ;). Then dunno play half-way who suggest to go out and stay awake overnight. then i was the only one in room. Air-con was friggin cold with blankets also useless alomst became "cold turkey". Then at round 0700 got a call from Wei jun asking me to open the back gate for them.

The others went to sleep i just went out of the room and sat near the pool cus the room was friggin cold. woke everyone at 0930 and guess what initially was to clear the room but end up playing blackjack. =.=" Ding feng was like playing as if $10 was nothing to him. Lost $50 to fatt rui :D lol. Check out at 1230 and went to Vivo for lunch before going home :D

This incident also reflects about us in our daily life when most of us do things we often think that anyhow do can already that was what I think the mantaineers tot of which i do not know lol. Their moment's folly cause 22? lifes!!

Well let's forget about that and start with my post.

On Thursday

Today started very well, our useless D&T teacher did not come today. Mdm Hamidah also gave us more time to complete our product.I still have problems with the project, , nevermind chuan dao qiao tou zhi ran zhi. Today scince lesson was frightening, as we got back our Biology common test. At first I though that I would score poorly, as i saw many with high marks, I became dis-hearted. It was a long wait before i gotten back my paper, the suspense at that time was really unbearable and was killing me.However when I got back my paper (I was the last person to get my paper back), I had a shock out of my life. I got 20/20, I was thinking it must have been a mistake, how could I have gotten so high. I did not study for the test. After awhile, i accepted the truth. I was overjoyed ( oh yeah =D). On Friday

Today went to school early to complete my Literature question, finish it in the nick of time. I think I am going to score very badly for Chemistry common test, because there were few things which I did not understand. Just have to wait for the results. Next monday is the EZ-link cards mass exchange programme, finally we are getting the new ones, after a year of waiting.Today had no CCA, went to Jurong Point to walk around before going home.

Nowadays, as the finicial crsis still exist, i have decided to take the bus instead of the train as it is much cheaper compared to the MRT. But it does not affect the time i reach school so yeah.... everything still according to schedule. Today had D&T, oh man can't finish up need to stay back tmr to complete the product, so troublesome somemore no CCA tmr (wanted to go home earlier)

Then had english lessons, Luck sien was very funny, during debating he kept shouting and shouting, we were all like laughing till our tummy hurt. After lunch had chemistry lessons, needed to present out PBL today. I felt that my group did quite a good, 3 cheers for grp 3 (5 claps), 3 cheers for grp 3 ( 5 claps) , 3 cheers and 3 cheers for grp 3 ( 10 claps). Then that terrence had to ruin the day. He BLAMED me and Aravind for taking his things, wat crap he taling, who wants to take his dumb pencil case. I am not dumb to get myself into trouble because of some things like pencil case. Almost exploded just now, here the things he did that made me wanted to explode

1. he just put the key into my pocket, when my hand was ready to received the key from him, i hate ppl who do not respect me and the class key.
2. He ransacked my table, another i hate ppl doing, he is so going to get it one day, for doing this, i have lots of patience.
3. Was very rude to me and my friends in class, he was in the wrong first, still dared to agrue with us

Tmr going to IMM if there is time to check out water bottles to standardse them. well i think that's all for today hehhe.
