2/02: Long week

This week was in-charge of a fundraising event. To everyone who are wondering where we got our stocks, Yes we got them from Sheng Shiong. For those who thinks that our price should be lower by 10 or 20 cents, it is normal for prices during fundraising to be higher but at least they are still reasonable. Compared to my primary school which charged me 100ml of coke for $1 which i believe was very extreme. I can guarantee everyone that the money raised every single cent will go to Red cross society.

IDC, the next upcoming event that I and others are in-charge of. For the tone of the camp, i think it should be 3/4 leisure and 1/4 Discipline. This is to ensure that the sec 2s know when to be serious as it is a basic skill they need to possess when they become seniors or in their working life. The theme of the camp to me should be "Politics" I believe that every leadership roles contains a certain extend of politics in it. Sec 2s have to know how to infer situations or foresee them and try to prevent problems for escalating or surfacing. They will also need to learn how to handle criticism by the student body. Be quick-wit too.
And for the group names why i chosen them is for them to get used to the long/hard names they would have in SLC or Induction. The politicians chosen are influence people which are stubborn, resourceful and able to preserve through numerous difficult problems. Especially President Franklin D. Roosevelt :D

Recently the thought of politics made me to wonder why aren't PRs allowed to vote in elections, i mean we are residents who live in this country for a long period. The government is important to us, if the government does not function properly we are also affected too, so why aren't we allow to vote during the elections. As government is gradually reducing the privileges, the difference between a PR and a foreigner is not so significiang anymore. Not many would want to give up their original citizenship(if their country is economically/ strong) and live in Singapore for long-term. Thus PR provides them with an alternative, as the privileges are reduced, they might move to other countries instead.
